What’s your cancellation and rescheduling policy?
Butter Studio operates by appointment only, meaning each session time is reserved specifically for you. We kindly ask that any cancellations or rescheduling requests be made at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment.
More than 24 hours notice: Appointments may be rescheduled one time without penalty.
Within 24 hours: Appointments cannot be canceled or rescheduled.
Late arrivals: Clients who arrive more than 10 minutes late will be considered a no-show, as there is not enough time remaining to complete the shoot.
No-shows: Sessions that are missed without notice will be considered a no-show and are non-refundable.
Appointments may only be rescheduled once. Additional changes require a new booking.
Late changes prevent other clients from booking that time, which is why we strictly enforce this policy. Thank you for respecting our time and helping us keep the studio running smoothly.
What should I wear for a LinkedIn headshot?
Choose something that makes you feel confident and reflects how you want to be seen — clean lines, solid colors, and minimal patterns tend to photograph best. If you’re unsure, feel free to bring a couple of options and we can decide together. We also have some tops and blazers for you to choose from.
Do you offer rush editing?
Yes! We offer a 24-hour turnaround add-on for $30. Let us know if you’re on a deadline, and we’ll do our best to accommodate.
Are hair and makeup provided?
We don’t offer professional makeup services on-site, but there’s a dedicated area for touch-ups and outfit changes. Feel free to bring your essentials, and arrive a little early if you’d like extra time to get ready. We can also refer you to our favorite makeup artists in the area—just send us an email or DM us.
Where are you located?
We’re on the sixth floor inside a cozy coworking space in Chinatown, Boston. Our studio is by appointment only and requires a code to access. You can find the code and entry instructions in your confirmation email!
